I have actually known about Terri since 2012. The story goes like this. My wife and I had recently moved up the Chicagoland area and were looking for a place to call our first home. At that time, I didn’t know anything about buying a home or how to choose an agent. So what I did was go straight to yelp and call the first person that seemed to have “some” good reviews. We started looking at houses but I could not help thinking, “Wow, all this guy is doing is opening up the padlock for these houses and letting me into houses.” He had no interest in what I was looking for, no idea about the houses we were looking at and just not engaged. I had thought to myself, must be nice to just drive places with perspective buyers and open doors. One time, he opened a door to a house where people were still living in and they were having dinner. We proceeded to walk throughout the house while they were eating dinner and I felt so bad I couldn’t stop apologizing. I wanted to run out of there. Fast forward a couple weeks of this and my wife happened to find a house that Terri was the seller’s agent for. Note, we found the house and we told our agent to see if we can get more information about the house. He never got back to us so we had to go off the information we found online but the detail and excitement for the house wanted us to switch agents. I remember saying to my wife, “I wish she was our agent.” Fast forward, we did purchase the house from Terri as the seller’s agent but made a mental note to refer to Terri when it was our time to need an agent. In 2018, we did need an agent to rent out our place and also purchase a place as we needed to move to a larger space. We reached out the Terri and were so surprised at the different experience she brought to our whole transition process. She was very clear, answered all our questions promptly and her experience was very apparent in the way she helped us decide who would be good tenants. She never over promised but was reasonable in setting our expectations. Due to her professionalism we were able to secure a good tenant and did not have to worry about any issues that would arise as she dotted all the “i” and crossed all the “t.” Unfortunately, we did not buy a place through Terri when we rented out our old place because we purchased a new construction. But once again, we kept Terri in mind. She has been our agent for our rental and we definitely will continue to ask for her professional services. This all brings us to 2021 when we had to move out of state and needed to sell our new constructed house that we purchased in 2018. We reached out to Terri and she helped us through the process step by step. Through a million questions she was professional and always always engaged. We never felt as though she was annoyed or unavailable. I know we were not her only clients but it felt like we were her only clients because that’s how much she was involved with us. My wife says it’s the personal touches that she communicates as you meet with her and engage her. All this is great but many people would be asking, what about the results? Does she bring in the results? Yes she did! As many of the readers will know, 2021 has been and is a HOT buyers market. Just in my neighborhood 6 houses went up on the market within months of each other. The competition was definitely there. Now that we’ve sold our place, I can say that she beat the price of every one of those houses. Her presentation of the house, her pictures, her negotiations with buyers even till the late nights and weekends was amazing and quite frankly we were very thankful. All this to say, Terri knows what she’s doing, she gets the results you want all while keeping your expectations focused. I know I will be using her services again for sure.
